

The fern frond exhibit style presents a bold purple, red and yellow-orange colour mix, as well as showing the leaves that stem from the frond. To celebrate this day and the photo's selection, the photo was brought forward to the Explore takeover day's date. 7 of my fern fronds photoart exhibition on the spectacular staghorn fern was selected for the Flickr Macro Explore May takeover day.

Instead, it lives on host trees by using a tree’s branches to anchor itself. The Series is on the spectacular staghorn fern, which as an epiphyte or ‘air plant’ grows without soil. It consists of five shots, either displayed together or spaced out with other shots on different topics in between, dependent on my (the photoartist's) discretion. In sum, this PhotoArt Series was shot at the Mount Coot-tha Botanic Gardens (Brisbane, Australia).
